Book Enthusiast Promotions Presents: LILY by author @Bonnie_Bliss #wolves #vampires #erotica

Welcome to The House of Taboo! I'm Luscious Lia, your host and owner of this establishment. This week we're thrilled to be a part of the promotional blitz for our friend and fellow author Bonnie Blitz. She's re-released one of her novels written as R.L. Kirk. Now the tales of Lily Blackwood and the Blackwood wolves will all be told under the pen name Bonnie Bliss...a name synonymous with smokin' hot characters and even steamier love scenes.

This blitz is hosted by Book Enthusiasts promotions. They've put together a great lineup of blogs to showcase different excerpts form Lily: The Blackwood Wolves Saga. Some stops even agreed to post reviews. In fact, our sister blog Sassy Vixen Publishing is one of them. You can find The Vixen's 5 heart review for Lily by clicking on the link below.

BLURB
Lily Blackwood is torn between two strong men...
One, Wallace is her perfect idea of a partner, loving, loyal and handsome. The second, Bryn, is her true mate, the man chosen for her by nature and her family. Denial and naivety for nature’s choice, sends her into a rage of independence against the laws of her own destiny, family and her own father.
Wallace Kirk is assigned to protect the beautiful Lily since her birth...
His loyalties are tearing him apart. His own mate, dead, taken from him, fills his thoughts as Lily begs for his attention. She needs him, but not as much as the wolf that prowls in her flesh.
Bryn Kemp's nature and need fill his flesh...
Yet his true mate, the woman chosen for him, denies her destiny. His battle for her and his own pride must overcome her feisty rebellious streak. Both men must fight for her in the throes of oncoming battle and she must make the right choice. A decision that will shape the war.
*Author note: this book was previously published under the title Blackwood: Lily by R.L. Kirk*

“All these victims are females, more to the point, female wolves…Blackwood Pack wolves. I knew three of them, Wallace even more. They’re part of our family.”
An icy chill chose that moment to ripple up and down her spine. Her arms came up again to cross over her chest. She was closing herself off. Fear had a funny way of forcing your body to react in ways you didn’t want them to. Lily started to speak. Her throat suddenly dry, she cleaned it on a cough and finally spoke, in a whisper, almost like a mouse. “What does this have to do with me?”
“I think deep down you know why, but I’ll spell it out for you. We believe that someone is trying to draw bigger prey out in the open. We don’t know who but we think they’re trying to get to either you or your sister.”
Lily knew this time would come. The rise of her wolf and her place in the pack was coming to the fore. Her sister and father let her do her thing, biding their time and just waiting for something to happen that would spark her dominant gene, pick a mate, and step up to take charge. Peering down at the pictures, she realized that now was the moment she had to step back. A deep part of Lily knew that she was never a human woman. She was wolf. She closed her eyes tight, took a deep breath and let the air out slow. Then, she turned towards Wallace. “What does this mean for me, not just as a Blackwood, as a wolf? Be honest. We both knew at some point this…” She motioned toward her home, referring more to her life. “…was temporary.”
“It’s time for you to grow, to become the wolf both of us know you are capable of becoming, that’s what it means for you Lily. You need more than I can give you, you need a mate.”
Lily rubbed her hands down her face. A mate was inevitable. She’d always known this. She hid from the truth under the misguided impression that she could just avoid it. Why? Maybe the idea of having Wallace. In him, there was a comfort she wasn’t willing to let go of. There was no chance for pregnancy, or longing love.
He would find his mate one day—she knew this. Yet, something inside her rebelled against the idea of a mate because she knew that with the mate, came the responsibility. Her father had always told her she was the one. Her sister Catherine wasn’t meant to be an Alpha. She was. Duty, loyalty, responsibility. She was so fucked. It was time, and it slammed into her with all the subtly of a sledgehammer.
Will I fail?

That’s what this all came down to. She was worried she would make a shitty mate and shitty Alpha. She was too curious, too weak, too—human. She also didn’t like acting like an authoritative twat like the other Alpha females. Her mother had died before she knew what a true woman of power could and should be like. Lily could feel the penetrating gazes of Mike and Wallace as she sat and just stared at the murder scenes. She would be safer with a mate, stronger even. This was a knowledge that her wolf sang over.

They have discovered that mixing genres in their thing. Their tastes go dark, and they love to twisted up sweet stories and make them a bit more tense and sexy. Bonnie writes in multiple genres with plans to dabble into more areas of fiction.
