#NextBigThing: Call of the Thunderbird is on Taboo's Center Stage

What is a blog hop? Basically, it’s a way for readers to discover authors new to them. I hope you'll find new-to-you authors whose works you enjoy. On this stop on the blog hop, you'll find a bit of information on me and one of my books and links to five other authors you can explore!

Many thanks to fellow author, Amber Lea Easton, for inviting me to participate in this event. Even though at this point, most of my author friends have already been tagged to do this, I didn't want to miss out on a chance to participate. One of my alter egos was able to share one of her WIPs several months ago. Now thanks to Amber, I get to have a turn! You can click the following links to learn more about Amber and her books.

In this blog hop, my fellow authors and I, in our respective blogs, have answered ten questions about our current book or work-in-progress (giving you a sneak peek). We've also included some behind-the-scenes information about how and why we write what we write--the characters, inspirations, plotting and other choices we make. I hope you enjoy it!

Please feel free to comment and share your thoughts and questions. Here is my Next Big Thing!

1: What is the working title of your book?
Call of the Thunderbird (Fearless Love 1)

2: Where did the idea come from for the book?
Thanks to another author friend Robin Badillo writing as Tyler Robbins, I discovered that I love love love M/M erotic romances. From Tyler's book Beyond Honor, I discovered another author who grabbed my attention with her Marine love stories. Kendall McKenna and her Brother's In Arms inspired my own idea of two former Army Rangers who find love with each other after one nearly dies saving the other. Oh, did I forget to mention that the one who nearly died was an eagle shifter? LOL

3: What genre does your book come under?
M/M Erotic contemporary paranormal romance. Whew! That's a mouthful!

4: Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

Adam Beach is the actor I see in my head as veterinarian Abraham (Abe). Originally I had thought his name should be Adam like the actor, but Abe came to me more often when I planned more of the story, so Abe it is. I've not come up with last names yet.

For the eagle shifter and Abe's protector and the Warrior who would sweep him off his feet, I saw the actor Benjamin Bratt as Ethan. He is the one who is most confident in his sexuality, but doesn't act on it until Abe is ready to see it and return his feelings.

I did a post about this when I first started The House of Taboo. You can read it HERE. Notice that back then, I was still calling Abe by the other name. LOL!

5: What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
Ugh! I am so NOT good at writing a synopsis let alone a short one. One sentence? hmmmmm

Denying their feelings for each other for far too long, will the awakening of a Native American legend bring these two former Army Rangers together at last, or forever tear them apart?

6: Is your book self-published, published by an independent publisher, or represented by an agency?
I'm not sure about this one yet. I may still submit it to Siren for consideration, but then again, I may go the self publishing route and do it as my first project with Sassy Vixen.

7: How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
It's still a work in progress

8: What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
Well, besides the books I mentioned earlier with the military aspect, I guess it would compare to the shifter books out there today. I haven't read a lot of them myself...yet.

9: Who or what inspired you to write this book?
Tyler Robbins and Kendall McKenna. I love these ladies!

10: What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
I'm trying to incorporate my home state of Michigan as well as California where I live now. I've had some personal experience living way up in Northern California near a few Indian tribes. I've had a fascination with Native American culture and folklore since I was very young. It's been a pleasure to incorporate that love into this book and hopefully an entire series.

The idea of a fearless love is to me very romantic. To love someone with your entire heart and soul is all consuming and one of the best feelings in the world. I have that kind of love with my husband and it's the kind of love I want for all of my characters.

Below you will find authors who will be joining me virtually, via blog, next Wednesday.  Now since this is the second time around for this hop for many of my author friends, I've not been able to find anyone who is able to participate or at least able to commit to participating at this time. So I've tagged my alter egos Tammy Dennings Maggy and Stephanie Ryan. They will post their Next Big Things next week and hopefully by then, one or both of them will have someone to tag. Happy Writing and Reading!

Oh My! It's Time to Get #Impetuous with #SirenAuthor Nicole Morgan

I used to hate Mondays but once we started the Oh My! Monday feature here at The House of Taboo, the day is becoming a favorite of mine. Not only do I get to get to visit a little bit with some of my favorite authors, but I can share some smokin' hot excerpts with everyone in The House!

This week I'm thrilled to welcome my friend and one of the Four Seduced Muses (along with my alter ego The Vixen!). This author has been a very busy beaver lately. Not only does she have a new release she's promoting this week, but the SECOND book in this series is going to be released hot on the heels of the first one! I don't know how she does it, folks. Keeping up with all that's Taboo and trying to find time to complete just one of the several writing projects I have on my desk keeps me running in circles.

But enough about my crazy world. Help me welcome the FABULOUS Nicole Morgan to Taboo's Center stage!

Hi Lia, thanks for having me as a guest here today on Oh my Mondays! I’m very excited to be here and to talk about my newest release, Impetuous [Incessant Passions 1]. Also, in less than two weeks the 2nd book in the Incessant Passions series will be released. So look for Tempestuous on January 24th. Without further adieu, here is my new baby, Impetuous…

BLURB

The Callaway Corporation recently bought the high-end resort property Jenny Jacobson manages. In that time, they have micromanaged both her and it into the ground. With no budget for repairs she does most of the work herself. She proves to be pretty handy with most of the daily mishaps, until she meets the mysterious drifter, Thomas Beck.

In the middle of a plumbing emergency, Beck comes to her rescue and fixes the problem, saving her from further disaster and costly repairs. Despite her best attempts, she cannot seem to get away from this man who shows up at every turn.

Regardless of her cold treatment toward him, he turns on his charms. Will his cocky arrogance mixed with his sexy smile break down her tough exterior? If so, what secrets is Beck keeping that could ultimately ruin any chance they have to find happiness together?

EROTIC EXCERPT:

Her creamy skin looked flawless against the backdrop of the crisp white sheets.

With both hands, he firmly held her legs apart and loomed just above her already slick folds. He could see the glistening moisture already building up and coating her slit. Her excitement and anticipation was evident.

Hesitating for a moment, he looked up at her. His eyes met hers for a fire-charged flash in time. Gently he blew on her. From her pussy on up to her nipples he caressed her with nothing more than a gush of air. His actions were rewarded by her moans as she squirmed under the warm tickle of his breath.

“Sugar, I hope you’re ready and rested. Because I’m going to lick you, taste you, and suck up every last succulent drop you have to offer me.”

This time he didn’t hesitate. His hunger wouldn’t allow it.

Dropping his head down, he darted his tongue out and slid it between her moistened lips. Her slit was even wetter than he expected. And so fucking hot he thought his tongue might catch fire.

He had been right in his earlier prediction. She was the sweetest of all the fruits. Like candied ambrosia, her flavor just seeped into his soul and took hold of him.

His tongue moved up and down several times at her slick entrance. As good as she tasted, he enjoyed the tease it provided. She was already fighting him and writhing beneath his ministrations as soft whimpers escaped her. Judging from her body’s response last night and today, he knew she was already getting close. As much as he wanted to taste the honeyed nectar she’d surely provide him in orgasm, he wanted to slow down and prolong her pleasure.

Removing his tongue, he traced small circles around the outer part of her pussy, from one inner thigh to the other, the whole time touching her delicately, taunting her with feather-like kisses.

Her skin was so smooth under his tongue he wondered if she was even real. Maybe she was a goddess that he dreamed up. Some sort of muse sent down from a mythical land to seduce him in his wildest dreams. He fought back a laugh at the thought. If she were, she was damn good at what she did, but even his deepest fantasies had never been this good.

Her fingers ran through his hair, and she whispered, “Beck, please…”

He was never one to watch a woman suffer, but he had to admit his ego did swell almost as big as his cock from her pleas. It turned him on to know she needed it so badly she wasn’t afraid to beg.

About the Author

Nicole Morgan is a multi-published author of erotic romantic novels, which more often than not have a suspenseful back story. Erotic romance mixed with a good old-fashioned whodunit. While she's written everything from contemporary to paranormal her leading men will more than likely be wearing a uniform of some kind. From military to police officers, she has a love for writing about those who protect and serve. From her very first novel (which turned into a four book series) about Navy SEALs to her more recent releases you will be sure to find a few twists and turns you were not expecting.

In additional to her books, Nicole also has a recurring column called, "Sex and the Single Woman" in BT Showcase's online eMagazine. Also, she has recently partnered up with three of her author friends and became Four Seduced Muses, a blog dedicated to the steamier side of romance.

Thanks for stopping in to The House of Taboo, Nic! We'll keep out eyes out for a sneak peek at Tempestuous at Sassy Vixen next week. I can hardly wait!

Hurry up folks. Get your copy of Impetuous today so you'll be all panting and begging for the second book to arrive!
